Our Story
Woodco Prefinishing was founded in 1984, at a time when factory-applied finishes on wood products were virtually unheard of. While most manufacturers relied on field painters to coat doors, trim, and siding after installation, Woodco saw a better way: apply coatings in a controlled factory environment for consistency, speed, and quality that the job site simply couldn't match.
Over four decades, Woodco has grown from a small finishing shop into a full-production prefinishing operation serving some of the largest names in building materials. Our client roster includes national big-box retailers, regional millwork manufacturers, commercial developers, and hospitality groups, all of whom depend on Woodco for finish quality that meets their exacting standards.
Today, our Blaine, MN facility houses Italian-made computerized conveyor systems, an enclosed computerized sander, automated spray booths, and quick-dry ovens, all connected by a production flow designed for throughput and consistency. With multiple loading docks and Midwest-central logistics, we ship to clients across the country.
What hasn't changed since 1984 is our commitment to doing one thing well: factory prefinishing. We don't manufacture products. We don't install them. We finish them. And we finish them better, faster, and more consistently than field application ever could.
