Prefinishing flush doors and 6-panel doors

Below is the procedure we have designed for prefinishing flush doors and 6-panel doors.

  1. Pre-sand face (including panel recesses) and edges with automated door sander.
  2. If door is to be stained, a spray wiped stain is applied.
  3. An acrylic Urethane Sealer is then applied.
  4. After doors are cured door is then sanded and cleaned through our automated sander. If door is 6-panel, it will be sealed and sanded twice prior to finish coat.
  5. After through sanding and cleaning of the door, the door then receives one coat of Acrylic Urethane topcoat.
  6. After full cure and quality control, the door is then stretch wrapped with a special slip through stretch wrap and palletized.

Primed Colonist Doors

Below is the procedure we have designed for prefinishing primed Colonists doors.

  1. Pre-sand face (including panel recesses) and edges with automated door sander.
  2. Apply one coat of Acrylic Urethane basecoat.
  3. After based coat has cured, one coat of Acrylic Urethane topcoat is applied.
  4. After full cure and quality control, the door is then individually stretch through automated ring wrapper and palletized.
